On the negative.

1) Fuel economy isn't great, although I knew it before I bought it
2) I don't love the central locking system, and prefer autolock
3) The wheels are a bitch to clean, although look great when they are
4) I haven't had problems with soft paint, but haven't had the car long.
4) The paddles move around with the steering wheel, which makes the manual use almost impossible.
5) The annual car tax

LOVES
1) It looks stunning, especially in white
2) It's rare and men in car parks stop to look at it
3) The performance, especially mid range
4) The engine noise
5) Incredibly comfortable seats
6) The sound system
7) The level of specification overhaul
8) The price I paid for a vehicle that should have been so much more
9) The fact it pissed my wife off when I bought it :D

I find that the appropriate wheel brush makes cleaning a lot easier and faster

The paint is the #1 flaw of the Kizashi.
It's definitely the worst issue because it greatly affects how the car looks yet there is not much you can do about it short of completely repainting the car once the damage has been done. Preventative measures are key if you got your Kizashi new and haven't had much chipping yet.

Fortunately, mine hasn't been too bad like others with 2010 models. I also got a hood deflector early on having learned of the paint chipping issue, especially on the hood. I believe the deflector has helped significantly. Others have wisely got their front ends wrapped or coated.

Otherwise, I think the car is great. Not the most fuel efficient nor the most powerful, but its overall value factor is very high for the price many have paid for it. Many people compliment my car, especially when they ride in it and can't believe the price I paid for it with only 7500 miles on it. I then tell them that car people shop by car, not by brand. Cars like the Kizashi exemplify why.

- Very solid ride. Feels more German than Japanese in the ride/handling dept
- Everything is smooth and quiet. Compared to other cars I've owned, it's so relaxing to drive
- Curb appeal. I get lots of comments, questions, compliments on it which is unusual for being a family sedan

Dislikes:
- The paint, argh

Yep I'm keeping an eye on your thread & hope you have a good resolution! My bumper to bumper warranty is up in Aug so I need to deal with it before then. I have a ridiculous amount of chips for 22k easy (mainly city) miles

Apparently my Platinum Silver S is bulletproof. All chips are signed by the rocks that made them
