For non XM radios, I can see the XM unit is about $300-500 which is crazy.
I could go with a stand alone receiver, but is there a hard wire option vs. FM? Will a Panasonic tuner work in this application (SiriusXM SXV300V1 Tuner)?
Lastly I could just stream it on my phone via the USB at the expense of bandwidth.
Thoughts?

Agreed that it is crazy, all car stereo prices from the manufacturer are completely bonkers. Don't know of a hard wired option, if we had an aux jack then that would be great.
I think streaming and bluetooth is the way to go, but I've not done it enough to be able to tell you how much data it takes.

For the non RF, I've noticed on the older radios it says "XM Ready". On the newer ones it does not. However the model numbers are the same "PA57LO". I've also noticed the connections on the back are the same. Will the SiriusXM SXV300V1 Tuner work? I see that Crutchfield says it will.
