After owing Kizashi for almost half a year, I find that Kizashi slows down rather quickly while coasting. Compare to my 04 Camry, Kizashi slows down almost twice as fast. I know it has something to do with engine braking but is there any way to make the car slow down not so quickly? thanks
I am guessing you have a CVT. This is normal for the CVT. Try keeping a slight pressure on the gas pedal, instead of lifting completely, and see if that makes a difference.

However, on long down hill grades this feature helps save on brakes. Our old 2000 Cadillac would run freely when going down hill and boy did it go through brake pads at about $150.00 each. My father-in-law used to shift his old 49 Ford into neutral or push in the clutch to save gas when going down hill. I tried to tell him the carb. was turned off when coasting, but he knew better! This is an interesting discussion, anyway.
