Let others know what to watch out for and any useful tricks you learn. If you are starting a post in this section from scratch please hold it to a higher standard than you would for other forum posts. i.e. technical detail and even grammar.

IMHO those vents in the rear parcel tray would be for flow through ventilation. Air enters via the plenum in front of the windscreen, goes through the air outlets on the dash and flows through the cabin and out through those vents into the boot. There should be an outlet behind the boot trim that allows air to flow out behind the bumper bar somewhere.
(At least that's how other vehicles I've owned have worked.)
