Hi Everyone,

I've found that you can get the metallic door sill trim on amazon for around $100 and the sellers claim is easy to install. Has anyone installed this trim themselves? Any feedback on installing it and if it's something a diy'er could accomplish easily?

Thanks!

It's a very easy install. On a scale of 1 to 10, I will call it a 1. Just make sure that the area where the sills are going is alcohol cleaned.

I purchased a set of the metallic door trim from ebay (around $90), but it does not come with any instruction. Can anyone post the instruction? Particularly how to remove the old ones, I probably can figure out how to install the new ones.

Thanks

so how do you remove the old sill? do they just pop out of place and you stick the new ones in?

The stock ones are held on by retaining clips; I think three on the front ones and two on the back. I just used a thin flathead screwdriver with some duct tape on the tip to gently lever them off. I put a shop rag underneath to protect the painted surface. They came off pretty easy. I do wish that the "Kizashi" ones used the same retaining clip holes instead of just stick-on. Seems kind of cheap.

Awesome, will give that a try. I wish there was illuminated door sills available for the Kizashi.
