RE: XM radio alternative

The Do It Yourself section is used provide assistance with mods and fixes. Whenever you are making a change to your car please take pictures and notes. Let others know what to watch out for and any useful tricks you learn. If you are starting a post in this section from scratch please hold it to a higher standard than you would for other forum posts. i.e. technical detail and even grammar.

This is an alternative for the high price of the OEM system. :D :D :D

Looks good - but I don't see any connector to the Rockford Fosgate listed in the Accessories.

I just bought a SLS and did not realize the sirius was not installed because of the nav. and backup camera. I went to a local audio store and paid $212.00 total (tax & install) for a sirius connect universal sirius radio VI ($70.00) & sirius to kenwood cable ($70.00). I no longer have the box but I can provide the name & # of the store. All they did was lower the faceplate of the kenwood and plug it in and then run a antenna from the roof.

This is the unit that goes with the Kenwwod navigation headunit and it does have an adapter also for $19.99.
