I guess my hypothesis was right on size and replacement intervals. Honestly, this air filter is just a little bigger than the one in my lawn mower.

That's coincidentally the size of my home's HVAC filter and would take up half of the CR-Z's engine bay. However, maybe it'll require a change every 150,000 miles instead of every 15,000.
