It looks like everybody is doing throttle by wire now, and it seems to be universally loathed by drivers. I searched and found a discussion in an SX-4 group about this in 2008, so I would say that it's definitely not on the short list of things for Suzuki to improve.
There are devices which amplify the signal sent by the throttle for better response, like the SprintBooster, but that's not going to help with downshifts, and they're not inexpensive. Here's a technical white paper telling what it does.
So, I still haven't bought a Kizashi. I don't care for the new front end on the GTS and SLS and I don't really want a CVT or white-- I sure couldn't keep that tan interior clean.
