Suzuki runs their engines "wet". Which means they use a higher fuel to air ratio. The ECU remaps the engine's Fuel/Air ratio so it runs "dry". Their are different opinions for each. Back in the day (90's) we would use simple resistor kits to remap the engine by fooling the ECU into thinking it's running slightly rich, thus leaning it out.

Not sure how RRM does their remaping but using a simple resistor inline or switched (we went pro with ours, used a circuit board from the shack, plastic box, epoxy sealed it all) with a dash mounted twist knob switch.

Back to the SRI... I picked one up for my SX4 and in 4 months the inside was rusty. I would have never noticed had the outside not got a little rusty. And this was with clear coating the inside after using a wire brush on it to remove the excess powder coat that fell at the touch. IMO their price doesn't fit the materials. The workmanship is good. The length is a little short for low RPM's and the intake variable length can make up for it. The sound is awesome (all SX4 use, no Kizzi).

If it were Aluminum with an option for polished look the price would be spot on. But the filter, which a lot of users complained about myself included, is a little cheap. Replacing it with one found at a local parts store fit the bill and no chance for the center cap falling off and into the intake.

Gotta call Steve at Calmini... He works with Suzuki on the 4wd front but has worked with them on the cars in the past. They do a killer job.

I just got the SRI today, along with a few other goodies. (exhaust, piggy back ECU for auto and lightened pulley)
Driving back from RoadRace to the valley (San Fernando), i felt the car had much better throttle response through the gears and the sound of the exhaust was definately more growl than sniffle.
My butt dyno (which can be highly subjective) did feel the mods did their job.
If it was just the intake alone, i don't think you'd see a huge gain as having the other supporting mods in play.
I did notice my MPG not slip as far down given the spirited driving i was doing. On the stock systems, i would see a drop of 2 - 3 mpg but with the mods, it dropped by .4 mpg.
So far, i gotta say i'm very impressed with Roadrace products and their service is top notch. They took the time to educate an old twin turbo Z guy about his kizzy and how to properly drive it. Definately earned my business (despite the 60 mile drive to their shop) and will go back for more when they eventually develop a turbo kit for the CVT. (hey, a guy can dream, can't he?)

Lost the sheet? Come on RRE!!! Im sorry but thats not a good way to sell a product by having no info on a item your selling. Guys ill have numbers for ya in a few weeks here of the before and after dyno numbers (mustang dyno) so dont expect blown out , tweaked out , ridic numbers on the short ram intake that I just finished building.
