Fitting crosshatch / mesh style grille in lower models?

Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

I've been meaning to make a cardboard template of my lower grille. (Then a quick trip to the local dealer and it will just be a matter of holding the template up to the Sport lower grille.)

Keep us posted. The Sport AWD Grille does not much better then the one for the lower spec models.

I am wondering if the dealer will be fitting them for you, or do you need to DIY?

No being all that confident with pulling a car apart and putting it back together well, if we find out if the grille fits, I'll get my local panel beater to do it. I'm sure it will involve taking the bumper off...not for me!

Yes, it would be a bumper off job (most likely) as I think the steel reinforcing bar blocks access to the securing screws.

alright guys, as pretty much all of you know my front bumper is totally fucked up and need a brand new bumper, I gave my body shop a call. They double checked with Suzuki and comfirmed that the bumper and all the grills are interchangable.

So now I will ask my body shop to order me a new sport bumper and lower grill. It will take roughly 2 weeks to fix all the damages. Once everything is done, I will post some pics.

Is that the whole sport bumper is interchangeable or the grilles and bumpers can be mixed? My local dealer said they had no way of checking and were doubtful.

From my research (and finding pics of the mesh lower grille) all the mounting points appear the same. It's just the price that's holding me back, I'd rather put the money towards a rear sway bar.

I am 100% sure the whole bumper is interchangeable cus it has been done before already. But not sure about mix and match though. I have to get a new one no matter what so lol

Awww, so close...but we still don't have a definite!!!
Spoke to my local service guy again and he said to get the VIN no. from an AWD and from my car and he would check if anything would show up re. part numbers etc. Doesn't sound like it would tell anything...but could be worth a go!
I'm prepared to pay the price to get that better face...

So you guys want to put the horizontal lower grill on a sport bumper is that it?? Tell you what guys, I will ask my shop to check it out for me. As I have the regular bumper with horizontal lower grill and I will be getting the sport lower grill, I will ask my shop to try it on and see if horizontal lower grill will fit onto the sport bumper. I will keep you guys updated.

No, cross hatch grille into a lower spec non sport bumper (that's normally fitted with the horizontal bar grille.)

Cocos3 I've already got the part number, you can order it from your dealer.
The part number for the SLS mesh grille is part number 71721-57L10-ZNE and it is $239.74
The above price is from a USA dealer (US$ with no freight.) I got a price from my local dealer and it was $375.
