How much does the interceptor cost?

I was considering getting the Stinger Jammer about 2 years ago but at $3,000 price tag, I couldn't justify it.

My problem is the headlights. I need to cover them as well, so really my option is to put 2 level with Suzuki emblem but out wide on the grill to protect theheadlights, I can sit one above the number plate holder to cover the plate. over here in Aussie we have the Vitronic Poliscan laser camera and this sucker can be put on some pretty good angles. I was hoping to have 2 face out straight and 2 angled at about 10-15 degrees. now starting to look at cutting the grill. These to date are not illegal in my state but I reckon mounting them over the grill will look a bit silly. I cant go too low with the heads as it will leave my headlights exposed which is secondary point of laser contact. So it's a hard one.

Quad unit in Aussie I can get a great price of 960.00, looking at about $350-500 for pro install. If your in the US, drop Cliff a line at Laser Interceptor (easy to find on the net), the unit is cheaper from them even for me here in Australia. I too seriously looking at the Stinger and after several emails to Chris at Stinger UK, they don't even have the capability to jam the Poliscan here as of last week, they assure me that they will have this rectified in 2 weeks. Bare in mind at 3 grand your only getting detection NOT JAMMING, that's around another AUD $1400-1600 for the laser jamming heads. Stinger call it (Laser shield). It would solve my problems as the stinger jamming heads are only 17mmx17mm (square) or round ones that look like parking sensors. I cant do anything there until they get their act together and put out an update to shied against the Poliscan. Yeah! it's pretty pricey just as a radar detector. So still deciding which way to go. I love the stinger VIP unit but right now it does not offer me protection. Even if I was to use their laser shield if the sort out Poliscan defence. I would still have to run Laser Interceptors on the ass end for total protection otherwise its another 1600 for another 4 stinger heads for the rear. LI's would be a hell of a lot cheaper but just not stealthy. Hope that helps.

I had thought at some point about installing a laser jammer, but had not had time to tackle the project. What made you change from the blinder to the laser interceptor?
