I took my Kizashi into firestone to get an oil change because they were offering buy 1 get 1 free oil change and it was synthetic blend. It was my Kizashi's first change also. I normally do my own oil, but I didn't want to mess with it just yet because of the plate underneath and getting to the oil filter.
Anyhow, I laughed a little when I saw my car up on the lift, and 4 guys were standing underneath it all looking for the oil filter. LOL. They finally found it and got it off. But they were also all looking at the underside of the vehicle and checking the car out because it's the first kizashi they've seen.
How do people react to your Kizashi?
Come for a ride; the invitation is open.
Maniac driving = vomiting passengers (when they've stopped their screaming).
Maniacal driving does not require more than 200HP; it requires certains skills, a disregard for physics, and gap insurance, ay?

Changing the oil on the Kiz is very easy... takes me roughly 15 mins, tops. The bottom plate comes off very easily and the filter is a piece of cake from above with a pair of cheap oil filter pliers. I actually enjoy changing the oil on this car. Plus I do not trust any service center to put the right oil in. MobilOne makes a huge difference in performance for this car IMO. I've gotten over 35 mpg on the interstate on a 2.5 hour trip.KIZAWDinKC wrote:I took my Kizashi into firestone to get an oil change because they were offering buy 1 get 1 free oil change and it was synthetic blend. Isn't it interesting now the Kizashi encourages driving delinquency? I have an AWD SE, perhaps the least quick model in the line, and yet, I love to drive the snot out of it! it corners like it was on rails, and running the engine up to the redline through the pseudo-manual gear-change is FUN. The engine is surprisingly smooth as it approaches 6,000 RPM, and it all happens so quickly that I often bump up against the rev-limiter by not up shifting quickly enough.
I know that Suzuki torque-limits the engine at take-off to protect the CVT, but, that car is QUICK after 20MPH or so, especially in the hilly, twisty roads of Western, MA. By the way, the Daniel Shays Highway between Belchertown and Orange, MA is one of the most entertaining roads to drive in this neck of the woods: fairly smooth, with delightful curves, hills and valleys. It's so much fun that you don't have to drive like a maniac to enjoy it, but it really shows off how well Suzuki tuned the chassis in the Kizashi.

I know what you mean...I live in a hilly / mountanous area of NY and I drive it like I'm a 20 year old on the way to the office in the morning. The thing will take a corner like nothing else I've driven in a long time.
The other day I was dropping off a carload at Goodwill and a pair of guys came out saying "I didn't know Suzuki still made cars" Wasn't sure what to think of it.
