The 2011 has a bit more horsepower, and I believe some adjustments were made to the cvt to improve acceleration. I suspect some other tweaks as well. This often happens with second year cars of a new design.
If you have some patience, you should get a decent deal on an '11 when the'12s are in the showroom.
