Just ordered my Morimotos from theretrofitsource.com
I went with the 3Five ballasts, XB35 5000K bulbs, and the HD harnesses.
I will upload pics once the kit arrives and I get them installed.
HID Kit recommendations
Looking forward to it!
I'm not completely satisfied with the left side's output. The beam seems really narrow. I'm not sure if it's by design or due to the limitations of halogen projectors. I'll find an empty parking lot tonight and do some proper aiming.
I'm also looking at LEDs to replace the parking lights.

Trying to perfect the aim is an exercise in futility. It seems like the driver side beam is thinner by design, as no amount of adjusting rectified it. If someone has better results, please share!
Here's where I gave up. The light is more evenly spread out now

did not read the entire post , but i have installed the osram 45w kit for my low beams , its looks stunning , I can post you few pictures in couple of days if u want .
Keep in mind that it may simply be due to the design of the projector lens and how compatible it is with the HID bulbs. As you can tell, HID bulbs and H7 bulbs are rather different in shape. The factory projectors in the headlights were designed for halogen H7s so their light throw is optimized for those. This is why retrofitting HID-specific projectors is a thing.bootymac wrote:Looking forward to it!

While different HID bulbs may get you better results, it will likely never match the quality of a HID bulb in a HID-specific projector.

Same. I think another person once mentioned it on the forum too. I think it's merely headlight/projector design and there is nothing short of a HID projector retrofit to remedy that. However, using better HID bulbs may make the issue better.~tc~ wrote:I have a "dim spot" on the left near the front of the car, but NOTHING like that

The dim spot is exaggerated in the above photo. I don't notice it while driving.KuroNekko wrote:Same. I think another person once mentioned it on the forum too. Achieving the perfect aim is a constant work in progress though; I think my prior set up was too high. If only I could do a "factory reset" on them
