Done a bit more driving: The Goodyears slide pretty easy, regardless of traveled surface. Drats.
Going to the 225/50 R17 sizing hasn't hurt as much as the tires themselves.
Gas mileage is continuing to hover around 24.6 MPG.
Man I like my car.

Happy new year to us all........

Big snow stupid cold; Kizashi eating distance like it's a normal day.
Nice.
Tires work well enough.

You are 400 miles away from me now. Your Kiz does indeed eat the miles.

(...almost 21K since July 21st....)

I've now noticed this GTS Sport model with its side rocker skirts doesn't pick up as much snow by its wheelwells and under the rocker; more on the front, virtually none on the rear. Even the side body panels remain clear (unlike my old S. Ice would form at a diagonal from the front fender all the way to near the rear window)!
Good, because snow stuck to the car can literally add hundreds of pounds.
Weight bad.

Surgery tomorrow (hopefully minor and as successful as the last nine) so I won't be adding many miles in the coming few weeks.

Hope gas prices get lower while I recover
