Rotated the stock Dunlops at 7500 miles. No noticeable uneven tire wear yet, but I'll get an alignment regardless. I noticed some surface rust underneath though. Disappointing considering my GTI doesn't have a single bit of rust after 14 years. It also has a fraction of the Kizashi's paint chips on the hood. I guess compromises have to be made to get a car like the Kizashi at its price point.
Also, my Kizashi has been stored for a while so that I could drive my GTI but the Kizashi should be back on the road for the fall and winter.
What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?
Good to see a 300mm fits nicely. My 270mm used to hit the sun visors in my Impreza. The Kizashi's steep windshield rake angle helps so that the visors aren't too close to the mirror.
Looks like the convex type gives you a good view of the blind spots. Is yours coated to dim the headlights of cars behind you?

I found out after the fact that I didn't get the anti-glare one. I didn't realize there were multiple versions (anti-glare chrome glass, brighter aluminum glass, blue tinted glass). Good to know. What do you like about them?NiteRider wrote:Replaced the stock dunlops @ 25,500 miles with General G-Max AS03 tires. What a difference!
I'm near 30K in mileage on my Dunlops and thinking about replacements.
People here have all kinds of tires they like. The general consensus however is never get the OE Dunlops again.

Pretty much everything is an improvement. I get better response especially while cornering. Wet traction feels like dry pavement. It's quieter at high speeds and the tread design looks bad ass. For $130 a tire, it was a no brainer. The only weakness I can see is the sidewalls are thinner than they should be. So I'll have to pay extra attention not to rub them up on anything. I was interested in them initially as my dealership at the time was conducting test trials and recommended replacing the OE's with these due to performance.

Your comments resonate with a lot of reviews on these tires. They are highly regarded, but as you point out, the sidewall appears to be thin. I'll keep these on my list when it's time to replace the Dunlops.
