Charger vs Kizashi

My wife was in an accident last Monday and her car was totaled. She is bruised and shaken, but okay. We where given a dodge charger as a rental while we look for a new car.
I don't like it. Now I don't want to offend anyone but it is a boat to me. It picks up fast but has wide turning radius. Its funny cause we get compliments on it everywhere we go. I'm not into the exterior either.
This all got me to thinking that brand recognition means so much to people. I get compliments with the kizashi usually after someone has been in it. I just don't see much desirable about the charger. One person said to me that " I probably wish I could trade the charger for my kiz". I laughed since I always tell people I don't like big cars. Suzuki just has that reputation to consumers.

The Charger does absolutely nothing for me, but the Challenger on the other hand does. Both cars are on the same platform..meaning big and heavy, but at least the Challenger looks cool and appropriately retro.

I can agree with this. Maybe that is just it that the charger looks more like a 4 door muscle car than a sedan. I tend to like small sleek cars more than bulky.

If I were looking for a new car, I would go Mustang GT all the way. Much better handling and performance than any of the boats mentioned above.

I like the Charger. I consider it one of the best looking 4 door sedans. While I am not surprised to hear that it handles poorly compared to the Kizashi, I think it makes a good highway cruiser like most domestic sedans. Domestics seem to focus on straight-line acceleration and highway cruising. The imports seem to care more about how well a car turns.

To each their own, but I agree that domestics are better usually at straight line acceleration. I honestly have never owned a domestic though. I like small and quick cars. I would take the 300 over the charger based on looks, but I don't know about reliablity.

I too would take the 300 over the Charger. I like the 300 quite a bit.
Chryslers had a reputation for poor reliability and quality, but I think they have gotten a lot better recently like the other domestics.
Interestingly, Consumer Reports gave the 200 a rating of "Well above average" reliability. This is the top reliability rating which they usually give to Toyotas and Hondas. The Challenger also got a high reliability rating of "Above average".
I don't recall the ratings for the Charger and the 300, but I don't think they were bad.
