So, my 2011 (Automatic with AWD) decided it didn't want to move anymore. Car starts just fine, however, when I put it in gear, the car doesn't respond. No forward gears and no reverse.

Check engine light is on. Can't remember what code it had, but, I've replaced both the output speed sensor and the transmission position switch. Neither fixed the issue.

I've had two mechanics look at it, so far. Neither believe that the transmission itself is bad, and believe its something electrical. Last one thought that the CVT relay was bad and replaced it. Still no luck.

Hopefully somebody here can point me in another direction. I'm at a loss. Thanks

Once again...there's a very long powertrain warranty on these vehicle. Contact American Suzuki in Brea CA with your VIN and mileage to find out if your vehicle is still covered. If so, it's their problem...fix it or replace it.

Have you taken it to a proper Authorized Suzuki Service Location? With an issue with the CVT, you don't want to take it to any mechanic. Also, is your car still under the powertrain warranty (7 years, 100,000 miles)?
Use the following site to find an Authorized Suzuki Service Location if you haven't already taken that route.

Did you ever find out what was wrong. I have a 2012 Kizashi with 96k miles on it. But there are no dealers in the State of Georgia who do warranty work on Suzukis. I don't think it is the whole trans either. Mine will not engage either.

Could you give me a few more details such as 1 trouble codes on both engine and transmission. 2 Anything you noticed that was different in the way it acted or sounded leading up to the failure . 3 Has any services been done to the transmission and if so at what miles . 4 Take note of the fluid level and condition after car has been left setting overnight or more {the longer the better } Start the car and check to see if the level went down to its normal spot. 5 When put in forward gear and accelerated ,does it just rev up or does it feel like the brake is on ?
