While searching for aftermarket products for kizashi, I came across this->G-force performance chip. Doyou guys know anything about this company and it's product? Is it legit?

The gains they are claiming look a little high. I don't think I have seen anything about them on this site before.

yeah, i know. The HP gain looks fishy imo.
If it overrides the regulator setting on the lower RPMs, it would be totally worth it. I am looking to fix the lag from 0-15mph... it damn near killed me again the other day. I love my Kiz, but I'm getting really tired of not having even a little zip off the line. And really, it's not safe if you find yourself needing to get out of the way of something.

Read my post under the performance section. I installed both the SRI and the Piggyback ECU from RRM. Also, if you view some of my replies (i can't remember which one it is), somewhere someone asked me if in my opinion whether the Piggyback makes the CVT feel like a normal automatic, and I said yes, that's a great way to describe it. It's not gonna knock your head back, but it does seem to eliminate that damn lag.

Still waiting on some objective evidence ot this. Plus it it did, RRM would be touting it all over the place. Nothing but silence from them on dyno results, etc. on this - and they now charge $429 for it.AFREaKA.Man wrote:Hawk,

We took a good look at this some months back, and it looked like the effective lowest gear ratio on the CVT was significantly higher then that if the MT in 1st gear. If that is the case, it may be imposable to impact it off the line.
And Hawkzilla, I too have every month or two an instance of feeling real helpless in a situation where I need it to GO and it seems to take forever to get it really going until it finally reaches at least 15-20 mph.
The key words in legalese are "Up to"! 60hp is a lofty claim. Sure sounds good though. Almost too good to be true.
I'd be skeptical because they advertise the same thing for every other model car. Same claims of HP gain and MPG improvements. Also, its a little fishy that all their chips retail for $399 supposedly but they're all on sale for $69.

60hp would be believable for a turbo car where they can up the boost the the turbo is pushing. It just doesn't make sense though for Suzuki or any other manufacturer to leave that much power untapped due to detuning alone. I'd put this firmly in the "too good to be true" category.

I figured that Suzuki purposely regulated the initial torque down to make up for the cheap CVT, so I wouldn't be too shocked if a mod chip made a huge difference on the power off the line on the Kiz. However, if it did "fix" that issue, A) somebody would be posting it all over the net, and B) it seems like you would be risking a CVT breakdown that might not be covered by the warranty.
I guess it would have been nice if Suzuki dropped a stronger CVT in it in the first place. My Cougar only had 176 hp, and prob more like 165 hp by the time I traded it in, and it had plenty of power off the line. It's a dmna shame, cuz the Kizashi is a very nice ride.
