Hey all, just wondering if anyone has done any towing with a Kizashi yet. I'd like to get a removable hitch for mine to tow the Harley down to Florida for Bike Week. No way I am gonna leave a hitch on it though and ruin the clean looks.
2010 Kizzy SE AWD Ice Blue (mine), 2009 SX-4 Touring AWD manual Azure (wife's), 2010 Harley Electraglide Classic (ours).
i noticed no one replied, and i didnt want to be the one to give wrong information. i personally have not towed with the kiz but i would advise against it if you havent already tried. if u have please post your experience, but the kiz with the cvt trans probably wouldnt be the best thing to tow with.
I fear this may be too late to be of any use to the original inquirer, but perhaps it will revive the discussion. First, my (Canadian) owner's manual says not to use the Kizzi for towing. Second, I note that Suzuki in Australia advertises a hitch on its (apparently official) website. Third, Suzuki in the U.K. does likewise ("towbar" is the term used). Fourth, a respected US firm (Curt Mfg) manufactures a hitch for the Kizzi, along with a neat-looking plugin wiring harness. This hitch appears to have a removeable drawbar.
SO, we wonder: what is it about Kizashis sold in Canada (and maybe the U.S. - American owners please check your owner's manuals!) that they can't tow like in Aus and Blighty?

2011 Kizashi 'S'
I'd say it's the fact that, apart from the Sport model sold last year (if they did sell any of those at all), all models in Canada come with CVT.yezzaboss wrote: SO, we wonder: what is it about Kizashis sold in Canada (and maybe the U.S. - American owners please check your owner's manuals!) that they can't tow like in Aus and Blighty?
