I'm having two (I guess)electrical issues. Has anyone else seen these?

1) Once in a while after driving at highway speeds for a little while I get a warning light and the center info display says that the ESP system needs to be serviced.

2) The Passenger airbag off light comes on even when I have someone sitting in the passenger seat. Sometimes it will be on sometimes it will be off, even with the same person sitting there.

Has anyone had this? I'll be taking the car in to get looked at soon, but I was just wondering what to expect.

So it was just a recalibration that they had to do on a sensor for the ESP system, I'll have to go for a long drive before I see if this issue occurs again. For the passenger airbag thing they said they're printing out something so I can understand how it works. I imagine that I'll be going back for this one later, but I'll read it and see.

So, no big deal it seems.

Maybe not. It came back on last night. A new fun little issue is that there is condensation in my driver side headlight. Has anyone had this issue? I hope these aren't a sign of more issues to come.

no issues with condensation or ESP system yet, there was someone on here that at one time their ESP system gave an error code or something, but that only occurred once and it went away.

The only problem electrical wise on mine is the speedometer which is off by 2-3 mph...dealer tried to recalibrate and couldn't...they sought help from Suzuki which conveniently cited that by law there can be 5% margin of error, so no fix  once in a while I do check the GPS just to make sure my estimation of my speed is within the speed limits.

Interesting, is it calibrated for the 17 inch wheels? Which model do you have?

18"....that's an interesting theory though....I have to push 72mph for the GPS to read 70, before re-caliberation it was off by 4mph.

it doesn't seem like that big of a deal but I didn't shell out all that money on this car so I could do estimation of own speed.

there are so many things they got right with this car, which leaves me wondering why couldn't they get the simple things right too? speedometer? paint chips?

Maybe the outsourcing of jobs/parts has to do with it....i don't know.

reading from SX4 forum, they too experience frequent chips...this tells me either Suzuki is not listening or just doesn't care, after all SX4 has been in the US market for quiet a while now.
