Using only the gas/miles method, my last tank was just over 24 MPG. But a goodly portion of that driving was done at speeds (well) in excess of 85 MPH.
My car ranges from the just-over 24 to just under 32.
IMO the Kizashi mileage responds to the right foot running it.......
if you are getting less than 27mpg
Spending WAY too much of my driving time at high speeds, whether paved or not. Regular commute offers about 25 miles of Interstate and I cannot keep my speeds out of the 100MPH+ range (seems there's always a few of us willing to exceed 100 for longish portions).
Even on upaved roads I've been pushing ever higher, regularly passing through 80MPH on straighter sections ('cause carrying big speed into more gradual 'dirt' corners provides thrilling --and sometimes lurid-- four-wheel drifting).
Gas mileage sucks. 24 MPG range with constant throttle pressure.
I gotta slow down.
Mmmmm.......no

I choose my battles carefully. Population density is very low in many parts of our state, and I take advantage of that.
Still, one can come hammering over a rise or around a bend and find the road literally filled with: cows crossing the road; moose lounging; gray-haired Canadian bicyclists in a bevy; chickens/turkeys/crows/deer; an idiot like myself coming the other way.....
Police patrol roads based on time of day, incident history, and cell-phone complaints from other drivers. But like I said, I am not alone in my desire to Interstate-hammer, as I often join a passing pack.
Last ticket, around 2003, cop said "when you passed 90 I had to stop you" (he'd been following for 4 miles before I passed 90; wish I'd seen him behind me
).
Last two tanks netted just over 24MPG.......

Wow. It's the total opposite here, even in the country areas you lose your licence for only 35km/h over the speed limit (which is 100km/h with some main roads 110km/h.)
In the cities, traffic light cameras are common that do speeding, red light and unregistered vehicle checks/ fines.
There's a reasonable leeway where I live, but interstate in Victoria you get fined for going as little as 1-2km/h over the limit..... That accrues demerit points that last for three years against your licence (as well as a hefty fine) , if you exceed a certain number of points goodbye licence.
