Well, therein lies our problem doesn't it? The Kizashi is not much different in size from a Jetta but the Jetta has gone down stream so though a GLI is still a fun, sporty drive and likely big enough it's just not there from a materials and cabin comfort standpoint. It's also gone rather plain and utilitarian on the outside.

The Dart is smaller though I sat in the back seat and there was decent room. It's high trim is nicely appointed and it's sharp looking (all subjective I know) and you have no problem getting a stick if you want it. On the downside the handling and performance is not really as advertised. Both the Jetta and Dart also lack AWD of course.

I was actually impressed by the Impreza hatchback. Lots of cargo space, good rear legroom, fun to drive. It's not a Kizashi by a longshot but I think I would actually prefer it to the newer legacy unless I could shell out for the 3.6R.

As I've said, I'm definitely hanging on to mine for a good long time and hoping that at that point my choices for an AWD sedan won't be limited to a practical but boring subaru or a very pricey german make.

What a shame.

Having gone through many cars in the last decadeI bought my Kizashi Sport GTS 6MT Red because it was half the price for what you'd pay to get something similar. Sure, I don't have heated seats or a sunroof but I have a fuel efficient fun car to drive. It feels as solid as anything I've owned except one. The features are perfect for what I need and comfort is positively outstanding. One of the most underrated sports sedans on the planet a friend of mine says and he's right. My son will be 13 in January and this will be his first car unless it completely craps out.

Well, considering we have three and how much we LOVE our cars. When we heard the news about Suzuki it's not like we were shocked that it happened. We just shrugged it off and continued on with our life's. We are all going on about a year with our cars and have had not one issue at all. From our stand point, we are going to keep them for a very long time. haha, even if mine does go out for some reason I am going to try and find another one. It's not very often that you can find this good of a car for the quality and price. I get comments everywhere I go and always get questions about it, nobody knows about them which Suzuki is in this problem to begin with, they should have marketed them a lot more. I wasn't worried about the resale value when I bought the car cause you hardly see them and no one knows what there getting. I bought it because it's one hell of a car that my whole family fell in love with. So no, we haven't even had the thought of getting rid of them cause Suzuki here in AZ is staying open for parts, service, etc so whats the point nothing changes in our books. I truly wish there was some way Suzuki doesn't back out and can find a way to stay here, they really stepped up there game in the last couple years with there cars!

I also own three zuks and I feel the same way and for the most part, it seems that's the general concensus reading posts here and elsewhere. Well said. A great car, is a great car. If I had plenty of cash lying around, I'd get another SX4 to replace one of the kids older cars. Specifically the Alero that always needs something done for several hundred $$ every year.
