We have updated results for the Kizashi to include owner experiences through March 31, 2011. The updated stat of 90 repair trips per 100 cars per year, little different than last time, is worse than average.

Common problem areas include the Rockford Fosgate amp and plastic trim around the front passenger seat.

We'll have further updates in August and November. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover more recent model years as well.

We have updated results for the Kizashi to include owner experiences through June 30, 2011. The updated stat of 73 repair trips per 100 cars per year, so it's now "about average," if still close to "worse than average."

Common problem areas have included the Rockford Fosgate amp and plastic trim around the front passenger seat. If no other problems pop up, the reported repair frequency will drop once these have occurred over a year ago.

We'll have further updates in November and February. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

The sample sizes are so small that the stats have questionable validity. I know that it's why you want owners to participate, but even then, the data won't be too worthwhile. There are simply not enough owners who will provide info for this reliability data to be actually statistically valid or reliable itself. Heck, there aren't even that many owners. Just look at how much variation there is in each posting. Statistics 101 simply states that the greater the sample size, the more valid the data.

Not even Consumer Reports had a reliability rating on the Kizashi due to the fact they can't get enough data.
