Hi All,

Pretty sure this is a stupid question, so here it is.

Does my heated mirror for defrosting even working?

The reason why I am asking this is because when I push the button to defrost the rear window the heated mirror should be activated as well is that correct? cause when I push the button the symbol for the heated mirror didn't light up at all, I thought it was meant to light up orange when it is activated........

Regards,
JT

Hello Australia.

There is an indicator light on the switch itself , is that what you mean? It is a little rectangular light in the switch itself. If you are talking about the symbols on the actual outside mirrors, they do not light up. It would be cool but distracting. (Mine works and the symbol does not light up) I know the front defrost will show a symbol on the display below the hazard switch, but I do not see another symbol there that is for the rear defrost. You probably already know that not all models automatically have the heated mirror feature, but the give away will be the symbol on the outside mirrors, and then it is activated when you hit the rear defrost.

Turn it on and either spray a fine mist on it or breathe on it and you should see that it works.

If this doesn't answer, I'd be curious to see the symbol you are talking about.

Regards
Bret

Hi Mate,

Thanks for that.

Interesting, for some reason i was under the impression that the symbol on the mirror will light up......Might have confused it with another car....

I wish two lights I didn't have were the clunky orange lights on the sides of our front bumpers here in the US. but I'm living with it.

You guys don't have those if I'm not mistaken.

Nope we don't have those two clunky orange light on the bumper.

Would love for the side indicators to be mounted on the side mirrors though.

Those orange lights seem to be on all American spec cars that don't have an orange light/reflector showing from the side of the headlight cluster from what I can see. It's just a shame Suzuki made them sooo clunky on the Kizashi...

D3lusion, I reckon the side indicators are good where they are...they're quite a sexy little design if you look at them closely. 8-)

Those indicator lights are required by U.S. regulations, just like the hated TPMS systems. Amazing how much we as a society spend to save a few people from being killed each year -- and then ironically we let a warped parent buy sophisticated guns and teach her mentally challenged boy how to kill twenty innocent elementary school teachers and children.
