my baby is fucked up......
Thanks for the tip, I think I'm going to have to have it fixed...it's driving me nuts. I have to look at it everytime I put gas in the car.

Thanks man for the explanation:)Moto wrote:If it is cracked it may let moisture into the light which will cause the light to burn out and make your lenses foggy.
Epoxy the crack so that moisture can not get into the light. It should also stop the crack from spreading. There are probably kits to do it with a little vacuum so that it will suck the epoxy into the crack.
The refractive index of most epoxies should be similar to the lens so it shouldn't be super obvious that you fixed it.
If try this make sure you get the epoxy that is made for plastic. It is a bandaid fix, but probably better than letting water get into your headlight housing.
Other thoughts...
I would probably do a little test run on something I don't care about to make sure the epoxy dries clear. 5 min epoxy tends to dry yellow and is probably thicker than what you want to use.
The stuff that uses UV light to set might be better in this case so you have some time to work with it.
got it, thanks!Wonson92 wrote:My crack was minor but you can't tell there was one there at all. Guy who did mine used some form of epoxy resin to seal then sanded it back and then something else over the top not sure what though. He referred to it as plastic welding. I'm in Australia but check out the site and you'll get a better idea, I'm sure there would be similar in Canada theres heaps of companies similar in sydney.

Their example photos are pretty basic. Also says they don't work on metal but they do.
The epoxy used on mine dried brown which Oscar the only colour I've ever seen epoxy:P stuff over the top of it was greyish, maybe helped hide it?
Ahhhh!
Not even 3000ks yet and got an ugly stone chip and dent on drivers side passenger door today! Probably from someone mowing or brushcutting nearby, so sad!
Worst part is it's high up on the door so I see it every time I get in...
Chip is quite big, does make me wonder about the quality of the paint...
Gunna get that sucker outta there ASAP. Guessing the whole door will have to be painted though. They don't just work on the immediate area these days, do they?
NOT HAPPY!!

Yep, my bumper was only 1/4 painted and you cant tell at all, I can post a photo if you want. I know they do some dent removal in metal but nothing too serious, they refused my mate but his was quite serious. Sucks that it had to happen so soon!

Just for a rock chip, I wouldn't have the whole door painted. It costs too much and there might be color difference after repainting. Just get a touch up pen to cover it.
Haven't used a touch up pen before. There is a small but sharp dent under the big chip. Would probably have to fill it slightly.
Noticed there is a 'Touch up Guys' nearby, I'll give em a call and see what they say...prefer to leave it to someone a little more experienced than me.
Geez, how would I have coped if I'd smashed up the front like you guys...
Thanks for your support...

think so....at least in canada that is
Got a small touch up paint, for autos, from local paint shop...$12.50...only enamel but colour looks good. It'll do until I can't live with knowing the small dent is still there. Will do it on the weekend...so no alcohol for a few days so I have a steady hand
Probably should have tried Suzuki...didn't think!
A couple of panel shop guys suggested 2 pak but said it was harder to use because it dried really quickly and could leave rough edges. Anyone tried it with success?
