I've got a manual and I do not have this problem. This must be a flat spot in the ecu there cannot be any other explanation.

I tend to agree that it might be an ECU programming issue- most likely only related to the Australian ECU software?

Just had it happen without the aircon on and at lower revs. Unfortunately, I wasn't watching the tacho so didn't see exactly what revs, but somewhere between 4000-5000RPM.

One other thing I noticed yesterday is the throttle position sensor never indicates 100% open- the most it opens is 80%. (It might be because I was checking it with the engine off/ ignition on, but I would still think it should fully open?)

Hmm that's some weird ECU tuning. Anyone got any ideas how we could get in touch with Suzuki and find out exactly what is causing this phenomenon?

I don't think Suzuki tech's seem to be trained to handle these kinds of problems (at least the ones at my local dealership) so there's no point talking to them..
