Yeah, unfortunately there's color difference. The shop told me the white pearl paint is really hard to match unless you paint into the front fenders as well. Even that you will still notice the color difference

That sucks man. No disrespect but I don't think you took it to a very good shop. I think they screwed up and fed you a line b/c they didn't want to redo it.Northernstar wrote:Yeah, unfortunately there's color difference. With the paint code from the car they should have been able to match it up without much trouble as long as they were mixing the paint properly.
Is it as noticeable in person as it is in the photos?
Suzuki still mixes each paint batch individually meaning there will be difference in colours for the same code. Eg if you compared my premium silver to one in the u.s side by side they will look pretty different in person. If a paint shop matches exactly to the code it wont match, they need to mix the code and then fine tune. Also the metal and fiberglass reflect light differently through the paint causing a colour difference that basically cant be matched. Look at your car and the bumper and the guards will match at first but the longer you stare the difference will become more obvious.

I guess the shop I took mine too must have fine tuned the paint they used on mine then. Obviously different materials are going to show the paint differently, but the difference on the OP's bumper and the rest of the car is unacceptable in my opinion.
No offense but......Wonson92 wrote:Suzuki still mixes each paint batch individually meaning there will be difference in colours for the same code. Bull !!!!

I could be wrong but I believe most car companies do it a similar way to avoid long term reccuring paint deffects. I cant find anything on the net about it but 2 resprayers told me the same thing, one for a Holden and one for the Suzuki. Again, Could be wrong.
I dont think thats the issue here, id say bad mix

For the record the Kizashi doesn't contain any fiber glass. But you are right, sort of. The reason for the difference you are noticing is the flex additive used in paint for plastics.Wonson92 wrote:Also the metal and fiberglass reflect light differently through the paint causing a colour difference that basically cant be matched.
