thinking of purchasing 2011
As a point of reference, I purchased a brand new 2013 Kizashi SE AWD with 14 miles on the odometer in March 2013 for $17,000 (MSRP $24,574) from a dealer in Albany, NY. I would certainly expect a 2011 with several thousand miles on the odometer to sell for thousands less than that.
huh.... Do you have any trouble accessing the site? I sort of thought I had all of the IP addressed from India banned.kizashicar wrote: I'm in central Indiana
We had something like 200 spam bots register from India in one day a few months ago. My temporary solution was to ban the country along with the Ukraine and most of the countries that border it. As far as I know those measures are still in place.
This site is the only site I run that has a somewhat global reach otherwise most of my traffic is from the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Edit:
I did just remove the bans on India.
It looks like I have had a fair amount of legitimate traffic from that country recently. Hopefully we won't have any more spam problems.
I do have to be careful because there is a large group of people trying to build a super bot net right now. They are trying to hack servers so that they will have super power to bring down large web sites with DDos attacks that control servers.
We don't have the SE model here in Australia - and the only AWD model is the Sport. All the SE models seem to be from the USA, I thought?~tc~ wrote:Note model number "SE" - the OP is talking Australian dollars, not USD

I would definitely push for a lower price. I paid $18k otd (and some assessories) for my 2013 SE AWD. The CVT does seem to lag a bit off the line. I think I read here that it's designed that way to protect the CVT from overheating, but my Nissan w/CVT (also Jatco) doesn't do that. Still a great car though!

Yes I'm in Indiana, a state in the USA, not India the country.
And thanks for the help everyone. I will be going to a different dealer who has 2013 AWD SE. They are asking 19 for them, I believe I will get a better deal from them instead of buying a demo 2011.

Good move on the '13!
A lot of confusion here on the OP.
He's obviously in the US because he's talking about the car in miles, not kilometers.
Also, SE is the automatic-only trim sold in the US. The trim levels in the US are S, SE, Sport GTS, and Sport SLS (from lowest to highest in trim level). I read somewhere that the majority of the Kizashis sold in the US are SE's. It's what Suzuki predicted would be the most popular trim and imported more of them than other trims.
Moto obviously misread Indiana for India.
Anyhow, going for a 2013 is better since the 2011 is offered at a relatively high price. A 2011 should really not cost more than 15k at this point.

My wife's Versa bogs down at lower speed using the same transmission. I think it's a way of conversing fuel by getting the revs as low as possible. I used to think it was to stop it overheating but you can get the revs up in manual mode.WIKizashi wrote:I would definitely push for a lower price. Must have been tired or something.
Regardless India is unbanned for now.
I'm currently working in Montana so might not have internet access much over the next week or two.
