I avoid cruise control most of the time minus when im tired or its a dead straight road where my speed is likely to wonder without it. I find it holds the throttle on in a lot of areas where I can coast such as slight declines in the road. Means the economy sits at about 8l/100km using the instant guage where as coasting it sits at about 1, 2 or 3.
Always have air con running or windows down, stereo on etc. i.e i dont hold back economy in any ways like that, id rather enjoy the drive in comfort

Hey Wonson, I found the following on another forum. I wonder if you’ve tried 95 premium before? I think 95 is the common premium that we can find here in Canada/USA…
Quote ”I have a '99 Astina 1.8L manual and after testing for a few months, Premium 95 is what I've stuck with. Doesn't matter what brand though.
E10 ~ 8.9L/100km
P95 ~ 7.58L/100km
P98 ~ 7.50L/100km “ Unquote
If you go to the previous pages of this post i used 95 as tank #2 in each test. I originally thought 95 would be a lot better than it turned out, it didnt do too much better than 91 really.
If im extremely conservative (which I tried not to be in this) I can get about 600 - 700km to a tank of 95 which is better than the 91 but I guess if its all lower over there your 95 would be much better than whatever your lowest grade is like comparing our 98 to our 91.
I looked at your previous records again. It’s so weird your 95 gas is about same price as your 98 v-power. I wonder why…
It’s hard to figure it out as each country has different regulation for gasoline being sold….
The prices are all over the place in Australia. Where I live it can vary by as much as 20c/ litre in one week- you really need to pick your days to fill up!
I agree too it's a real nuisance with the price fluctuations. I find the NRMA(one of the Aus motoring orgs) weekly report about fuel prices useful. They seem to be reasonably correct in predicting the best day to fill up.
