Are you serious that this car requires a special battery? I would of thought you could pop any battery in like most cars. Hard for me to believe that suzuki would make it require something unique. If that is true not good at all!CLLee wrote:LOL...
I rang up my trusted tyre shop to have my tyres replaced, as they are almost worn.
There's no stock on the DB E70 in Australia apparently.... and nothing much in 235/45/18.
Keeps getting better.
PS... this car is like a high maintenance girlfriend. Who has the time???
Limited edition battery
Out of stock tyres
Squeaky suspension .... about to email dealer now
(spare me the lube joke.... lol)

Most modern vehicles require a special fit battery - there's no generic one battery that will fit all vehicles.Knightstruth wrote:Are you serious that this car requires a special battery? The following varies from vehicle to vehicle: battery physical size (and cranking capacity), the location of the postive and negative terminals and the battery mounting system.

I'd honestly buy a different tyre. I've replaced my low km 215/55R17 E70's and the new tyres are a lot better.CLLee wrote: I rang up my trusted tyre shop to have my tyres replaced, as they are almost worn.

Have you looked here? http://www.ozzytyres.com.au/store/tyres ... iameter=34
The Continentals or Michelins would be a safe bet, but they're not cheap!

Cheap Michelins : http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4-X-New-235- ... 43bcd12d7b
There are a few others on Ebay too.

Murcod - Suzuki in the City are a whole bunch of awesome as a service centre! (and I didn't even buy my car from them)
CLLee - I find it odd that any genuine suzuki service centre wouldnt have immediate access to an appropriate battery, and its pretty poor that they havn't looked into any suzuki offers / committments around this. Maybe it (the 3 year warranty battery thing) depends on model / year of the vehicle or something? (Mine is an MY10 XLS)
Also - are you sure your suspension squeaks? I get winter time squeaking from the rear (er.. of the car that is)
but it's something to do with the rear exhaust cowling. Once the exhaust warms up / or the weather is warmer.. it stops (only an issue for me in winter time for the first 5 or 10 mins of driving).

Mine's a 2010 XLS as well. Maybe you got lucky???
Mine squeaks all day at low speed (roughly below 60kmh) over bumps and rough roads. And it's gradually getting worse.
Will have it looked at soon as I'm very very busy with work.
Also, I find I'm feeling some shuddering from the engine every time I brake to a stop; just as the car come to a halt, I feel a vibration coming through. CVT issue soon or engine mount???
I don't know. I want to love this car. I baby it.
It's washed and waxed religiously. Interior is always clean and fresh.
I don't trash it. Mostly freeway driving.
But it seems its falling apart gradually.

I pound it.
I never wash it, and when serviced the technicians feel so bad about its interior they vacuum it.
I smoke heavily, with the windows closed.
I do have a trash bag.
I drive mine on dirt and mud and gravel and grass and paved roads so bad the Nepalese would be pissed.
I drive it on freeways so I can exceed 110MPH ('cause it's kinda hard to get goin' that fast on dirt. But I have....).
I had a drivers side headlight bulb go, and I recently replaced the rear rotors and pads (with SP Performance parts from TopBrakes.com).
Oh yeah, I got new wiper blades.
I have 88,somethin' on it.
Them are miles.
Yee-haw!

Just an update...
Had the service dept looked at the suspension.
They could hear the squeak during the road test. Did a thorough inspection of the suspension system and found no fault. Re-tensioned everything and the squeak is gone.
I'm glad there's no mechanical fault.
I did a good 30 min run on the way home and it's as good as new.
Hope it stays that way.
