I bought my '11 S AWD 915 days ago with some reservation, too.

Congratulations on your purchase, and I wish you the same satisfaction I've found with mine.

It's a miracle you haven't trashed the multi-link rear suspension. Do you get 4 wheel alignments and/or new tires often?

I had one alignment done around 33K.
I buy tires.
I run them until I can no longer drive in the rain (or snow), and replace them with something suitable for the season.

So far:
-stock Dunlops
-General Altimax Artic
-General Altimax HP
-Goodyear WRT Ice
-?

The suspension was checked over by my guys at the last tire swap, and was deemed "fine".

Sooooo.........this is the best car I've owned, ever.

Whether cruising or hammering, it continues to satisfy.
'Cept I'm still gonna check out the incoming A-Class AWD turbo-Benz, and the '14 WRX IF IT OFFERS A non-manual transmixer.

80,000 km

Just returned from a 1200 km trip to Montreal and I have 0 complaints.

The car handled beautifully and averaged 600km per tank. On the way home I hit a patch of bad weather and the car didn't flinch. I switched on the AWD and tackled the storm head on.

Unfortunately, many other drivers were in the ditch.

Paint attached, tires have lots of tread and over 50% life left on my brake pads.

Can't complain about that.

Question - how did the stock Dunlops "feel" when they were wearing out? My treads don't look too bad but they are feeling squishy at 22K. Thanks!

My stock 215/60 R16 Dunlop 7000S tires provided significant feedback as they neared 20,000 miles; their noise increased, and they felt squirmy near (or at, or past) their limit.
I was not impressed.

New, they were great.
But they didn't stay new for long.........

I liked the V-rated Generals, and I still have a pair on the back (they were fronts, and did not develop the cupping that ruined the rears).
They are lighter than the stock tire, about 3lb per.

I hope what's on the car now lasts until I can replace them with new snows, and I'll see where I'm at after winter.
'Cept they're getting pretty squirrely in the rain, and they howl when I'm cornering hard, and oddly, they still feel smooth past 90 MPH.

I was supposed to order my new front SP Performance slotted rotors and pads today, but I didn't get around to it.
First things first: front brakes, then trans fluid change, then tires, then alignment.
Maybe plugs and an accessory drive belt in that list somewhere.

I need a haircut, too.
