Stopping? Stopping is for wimps..
I took you for the old "handbrake into a J turn" stopper, but I guess I was wrong.. :P

Brake parts arrived Wednesday (ordered from TopBrakes.com Monday!); car getting parts from my guys now.
Didn't want to take a chance on cooking a caliper; know what I mean?
Weren't yet making any metal on metal noises, but there are no cheap caliper rebuilds on the market, so what the heck, I waste a few miles of pad-n-rotor life for the peace of mind.

I am admittedly curious as to how the car will respond to my requests for braking power with the full set of slotted SP Performance rotors and semi-metallic "Street Plus" pads.

I'll let you know

I talked to the tech who replaced my stuff; my front pads STILL had at least 5mm left (so I kept them).
The rotors were pretty beat up, with heavy ridging, but weren't done, either.

Assumption: I could have gone past 100,000 miles without brake work up front.

But.......now I got those quiet hard-biting SP Performance parts, and it will take just a wee bit more driving to break in the new fronts.
Then I'll let you know.

I should change the oil.
I should change the plugs.
I should change the tranny fluid.
I should change the coolant.
I should change the accessory drive belt.
And I badly need some tires.

I wonder what I'll do. Oh, I know; I'm gonna drive.....

Finger still attached.

My right front continues to slowly lose pressure.
I have a decent gauge and local free air.
Think I'm gonna need tires before winter; rats.
(I hope it's the tire, not a leaky wheel or sensor).

I reallytruly plan on getting its oil changed tomorrow, but we'll see what me schedule allows.

The rest can wait. I hope....

In the meantime, I plan on driving more. 'Cause I got a nice car.
