I own one of each, so I feel the need to chime in here. My SX4 is a Base MT AWD and the Kizashi is a GTS 6MT FWD. It's alot like comparing apples to oranges. The SX4 is like driving a snowplow in the winter. Last year 8 inches of snow on an unplowed highway and I had to remind the SX4 it was even snowing. It just plodded along at 60 MPH and watched as the F-150's and Jeep Wranglers all trembled with looks of horror as the 'ol girl blew by without a single issue. Easily the best car I've ever driven in the snow or on gravel. It has good pick-up, GREAT torque for a 4cyl, and it's rarity in these parts make for fun conversation. The Kizashi, on the other hand, is bigger, more nimble, and MUCH more refined. Then again, it was built to be just that. I prefer the more "rough" and Masculine SX4 for myself, and my wife likes the sexy, yet luxurious Kizashi for her. It really depends on what you're looking for. Either way, they really are BOTH amazing cars.

It looks like they are. I have read or heard somewhere that the Kizashi's level of quality and refinement was going to be the standard in which other Suzuki cars were going to follow. It's also why the car was called the "Kizashi" which means omen or harbinger in Japanese.

The proof is already here. Here's the link to the Japanese Suzuki Swift site showing the interior. It's clear to me that the Kizashi's design influenced the Swift's.
