Fitting crosshatch / mesh style grille in lower models?

Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

There is a lower "black ice" grille ( like on the 11-13 GTS AND SLS models) on ebay at this moment for $45.

Looks great! Was the lower grille a direct swap or did you have to modify it?
Thanks, it was a straight fit.

You do have to remove the whole front bar to fit it though. If you're double jointed (and like challenges) you might be able to fit it from underneath?

Nice to know if black chrome grille will fit lower spec models before buying one

If you're referring to the one with the cross-hatch pattern, I think it definitely is possible from what I read in the thread. 8-)

$45 for the lower grille jono6406....I got a price on one from a wrecker here in Aus. They wanted $210 (inc postage). I'm thinking that is a little rich...I'll wait til a few more late models get wrecked, ( :? ) and hope the prices become more realistic.

Cocos3 was that the wrecker in Adelaide (Holden Hill)? They're never cheap and I'm actually surprised it wasn't more than that (if it was them?)

You risk getting a damaged or chipped grille from a wrecker too, it would be risky buying sight unseen. That's why I decided new was the best option.

Are there no aftermarket companies producing the grille? I haven't checked, but I'm sure there's probably at least one in the US.

Yes David, that was them. They were a bit sloppy getting back to me but I spoke to the guy on the phone, he said it looked fine. It wasn't very old after all...
Don't know whether its still there, I kinda got mixed up in Christmas stuff and let it slide...still would love it though..:)
