I'm having the service department repair the USB port(Pins destroyed somehow, but still under manuf. warranty) this weekend. Also if the Zune is not going to work thru the USB port what ended up being the best alternative?
Thanks
Certain devices aren't supported because they store their files in a weird file system. Check out this post I started a while ago:

When I found out my Android v2.3.4 phone wasn't going to be supported, I went with the flash drive idea. Of course, I only have about 10 GB of music, and a local computer store was having a sale on flash drives around the time that I was looking into the issue($18 for a 32 GB USB 3.0, flash drive heck yes!!)
Some of the replies to my previous thread suggested that I try a Jelly Bean device, which I supposed I could test now that I finally have one. Knowing the file system requirements listed in the above link, something you could try is either getting a humungous flash drive (which I'm assuming your already looking into), or getting an 100 GB external hard drive and formatting it as FAT32. Hard Drive Disk technology has come quite a ways, and most external hard drives are about the size of smartphones now. If you wanted to be really fancy, you could try it using a large solid state drive, but then you'd kind of just have a glorified (and pricey) flash drive.
