Just a MPG update...

- Miles until empty read 40, gauge appeared to be a few lines above the E, average MPG per the car were 33.5 (80% highway, 20% mixed conservative and semi-hard driving).
- Calculated MPG 409.8 miles / 13.234 gallons = 30.97 MPG. Miles until empty reads 455 miles.

Well, keep in mind I have the lightest car here (no sunroof, etc) and I drive a manual tranny that I have a lot more control over. I still think your MPGs are way low. Even with the added weight and the CVT I would expect you to be closer to 26 MPG average, or higher. Heck we have the same engine. Would you say you race from stop light to stop light or drive conservative?

Just went on a 400 mile interstate trip. I had a touch over 1000 miles on the car. Averaged 30mpg on the way there and 34mpg on the way back at 80mph. Must have been some wind.

I would say I drive pretty conservative. 85% old man 15% teenager. I get on the gas every once in a while just because it is fun, but it usually isnt for long and then I go back into slow cruiser mode...lol

Dang jimmerz, I think I would have your service department look at it. Maybe the engine isn't breathing right. There's no way your car should be getting that significantly different MPG then others on the board. I honestly think you should be getting numbers in the mid-20's. Maybe your ECU needs updated or something. If you think it would help I will give you my 16 inch steel wheels with plastic covers for your 17 inch alloys. These are the sacrafices I make for fellow board members.

Thanks Kizzy, sounds like a bargain! Since Ohio isnt too far away, I can make a Highway trip over and see how my car does on the highway when I come over to swap wheels...lol

OK, I have been absent for a while, but I just thought I would update.

I have been averaging right around 21-22mpg local driving. I have yet to take a highway trip of any significance.
