Thought this is really really interesting:

My Kizashi Sports AWD was in storage for 4 months, did not disconnect the battery and no one started the car as keys were with me overseas.

When I came back and visited the car, it started straight away without even choking!!! It just started like normal!!! I was totally shocked as I had mentally prepared myself before to call Roadside Assists to jump start the car...

It is stock factory battery which came new with the car. Another reason to love my Kizashi!

That's awesome! I wonder if the Kizashi is smart enough to have a super-low drain cycle that kicks in after say two weeks. My Porsche does, but it still doesn't help that car.

I had the same experience when I was overseas in London and had left my car at Chicago. When I returned over a month later, it started like normal and I then drove 12hrs to go home.

What's your battery look like? I'm curious if we have the same one.

It's pretty standard looking battery...

Yeah none of the memory was lost, everything was as per how I left it!

I had a jap import (Nissan 180sx) before with huge Optima battery but it always die after 3 days of not starting... pretty sure something was wrong with the wiring of the stereo...

I went through the same experience with my Kizashi as well. It sat for a few months and started right up! This is after god knows how long it sat on the dealer lot too

Hmmm...looks different than mine, although it's the same size.

Does it have any vents on the top or require water to be added to the cells? Mines almost completely sealed like it's an AGM battery.

That battery looks very similar to mine. I'm quite sure that's the original battery from the factory.
Mine has a hard time starting in very cold temperatures like in the recent cold spell when it was in the teens.

Mine has a beige top from what I recall. It's the Korean battery (I believe there were other brands/makes too).

I'd think it would be the same as I had http://www.kizashiclub.com/forum/downlo ... hp?id=1548 (the new Optima is blocking the view, but it's a normal vented lead acid with access to top up the acid levels.)
