LED replacement bulbs - these will fit.
Great to see a lot of work going into full LED conversions.
But the bad thing is that it's a lot of work.

Not really, so long as you can get the wedge style ones out of the overhead.
BTW - this one works AWESOME in the trunk light, literally night and day! Just wish they had a 4000K version, the 6000K is a little blue for my taste

Does the cover fit over it? I noticed they're all 5630 LED's which are very bright.
As far as time to replace the bulbs, I'd rate the front parkers hardest, followed by the rear licence plate bulbs. Everything else (comparatively) is a "walk in the park" as access is easy.
PS: I haven't done the glovebox or vanity bulbs. The glovebox might be hard?

Here are a couple of similar bulbs using 5630 LEDs as well.

This one should be a lot brighter than the rated lumens (given the higher number of 5630 LEDs)

Yes, easily - the bulb could be considerably bigger, if I lived closer to the place, I would pick up one of these and see how it works:murcod wrote:Does the cover fit over it? I noticed they're all 5630 LED's which are very bright.

5630 LEDs are the way to go! I found these specs and they're quite interesting:murcod wrote:Does the cover fit over it? I noticed they're all 5630 LED's which are very bright.
SMD 3528
consists of one light-emitting chip
dimension of chip : 35 x 28 mm
power: 0.08W/ pearl
SMD 5050
consists of three light-emitting chips
dimension of chip : 50 x 50 mm
power: 0.24W/pearl
SMD 5630
consists of one light-emitting chip
dimension of chip : 56 x 30 mm
power: 0.5W/pearl
Theoretically, SMD5050 is 3 times brighter than SMD3528. One SMD5630 LED is one and a half more the brightness of a SMD5050.
Does anyone have any pictures of their LED dome lights? I'm wondering if the entire diffuser/cover is illuminated or if the LEDs create hot spots.
If you could share the bulb you used that would be helpful too.
This is the only one I've found so far and I don't know which bulb will2k used: http://www.kizashiclub.com/forum/viewto ... 2177#p2177
Thanks!

The "hot spots" in any picture will probably greatly depend on the photo's exposure. With the bulb type I'm running it should (in theory) give more even spread because there are a number of 5050 LED's spread over a largish area.
