Nope, the courtesy lights are the only place they'll be effective

I love that feeling!

"You paid how much for this?!"

Can you please elaborate on this? Is a 5630 automatically better than a 5050? Are all 5630s equal and all 5050s equal? Google says the number refers to the size of the led - 5.0mm x 5.0mm vs 5.6mm x 3.0mm. Are there standards for each size?

This is the best comparison I've found. Not sure how reputable the source is though.

SMD 3528
consists of one light-emitting chip
dimension of chip : 35 x 28 mm
power: 0.08W/ pearl

SMD 5050
consists of three light-emitting chips
dimension of chip : 50 x 50 mm
power: 0.24W/pearl

SMD 5630
consists of one light-emitting chip
dimension of chip : 56 x 30 mm
power: 0.5W/pearl

Theoretically, SMD5050 is 3 times brighter than SMD3528.  One SMD5630 LED is one and a half more the brightness of a SMD5050

I drove MY Kizashi to work.

I kept it under 110 MPH (oh just barely).
