Installed this LED into the trunk: http://dx.com/p/sencart-g4-6w-540lm-12- ... wQt2vldUpU
I simply removed the diffuser and stock bulb and used the T10 adapter with the LED panel. The LED panel came with mounting tape and I mounted it to a flat surface after cleaning the area with rubbing alcohol. It is BRIGHT!
Here are before and after photos

I also installed these LEDs for the license plate: http://dx.com/p/festoon-36mm-3w-240lm-6 ... wQt2fldUpU
Accessing the lights was a lot easier than I expected, and I had no issues swapping the bulbs even with my large hands. One of the clips securing each bulb can be compressed and the bulb pops right out. New LEDs pops in using the reverse method.
Of course, if we could simply unscrew the housing from the outside like every other car, it would've been even easier!
Here are some photos. The LEDs are very bright as you can tell. Crisp and pure white output without any blue tones (the white balance is a bit cold in the pictures). They cast a nice glow onto the ground as well!

Wow, what a big different.
I actually got a pair of LED T10's but they are the same as the ones I use for my position bulbs below my high beams. I was thinking of using them for the doors since I have a pair.bootymac wrote:The trunk is a must. The stock bulb is just pathetic. I think a candle is brighter than itKuroNekko wrote:Nice. I need to get around to doing these too.

If the emitters on the LEDs are forward facing, it might not work that well in the courtesy lights. The housing is similar to this where the bulb is oriented horizontally, and the light mostly comes from the side of the bulb:KuroNekko wrote:I actually got a pair of LED T10's but they are the same as the ones I use for my position bulbs below my high beams. It's worth a try since you already have them though
