Has anyone got a high mileage Kizi

Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

Mine is very new and only done 600 miles. I intend to keep this car about 4 years, which is a long time for me. I just wondered if there was anyone on here that has done a lot of miles, and how reliable there Kizi has been ?

You have a lot of reading to do. Weshoot2 has been documenting his ownership and mileage on his Kizashi and it's over 100,000 miles.

The Kizashi is rather reliable and there was a thread on this topic. Known issues are:
- Poor paint quality. Paint chips and scratches easily.
- Rear shock bumper stopper design flaw that leads to rear shock failure.
- A few CVTs have failed prematurely, but this is not common.
- A recall on the belt tensioner years ago.
- A recall on the center console compartment.

Given your Kizashi is new, I wouldn't worry about the recalls. Those were from the past. Check to see if you have the new bump stoppers on the rear shocks.

There's several owners here that are past the 50k mark, and there's not been any significant issues other than what KuroNekko posted. The car is really solid for the long haul. 8-)

Do you have a link to this? I've heard a rattling from the engine from the early months of our ownership that might be a tensioner. It sounds like when my Altima tensioner failed. :(

Today, 5/9/14, at this moment, my 2011 AWD S has 122,497 miles on it.

I've relaced two headlight bulbs, two license plate bulbs, and the brakes.
I drive it over the worst-condition roads at excessive speeds quite regularly.
I drive it on 'roads' that really aren't.

It remains the most reliable car I've owned, and I've owned many.

 I tend to do the same thing. I go through a set every year one each car when I'm driving hard.

Just ordered my seventh set: Kumho Sense. H-rated, but I don't exceed 115 MPH.
