116,000 miles

3 years old in feb 2013 (bought as leftover 2010 in feb 2011)

hood then whole car painted within first year

Sub woofer replaced early

On third set of tires, OEM went about 32k, Yokohama Envigor (LOUD) about36k and the current Continental Pro Contact tires are still holding up (more than I would have thought at this point) My dealer has a "tires for life" with standard maintenance, rotations, alignments. They will cover up to 180 per tire. This has worked fine for me and has been well worth their reasonable maintenance charges for service.

Did serpentine and plugs myself at about 90k. Have K&N filter installed. Front brakes were done by dealer at around 95 (longer than I would have thought there too-rotors were turned-pads installed) and for the back I actually bought the rotors and pads and the dealer (mazda.former suzuki) installed them. It was too cold out for me to do it and I didn't want to disrupt my "tires for life" which they are continuing to honor so far.

It currently needs shocks (probably struts also) but it has worn well outside of initial paint issue and I think this is a well done car overall.

Great info! When did the subwoofer go out?

Great info! When did the subwoofer go out?

The sub went a couple weeks after purchase.

I am actually on my second Kizashi. I had a GTS FWD in the same year and color.

I bought this SLS at a dealer I brought my GTS to several weeks after I had it to replace the subwoofer in it. The first GTS was bought in upstate NY on a "drive by" visit to check it out while traveling. Several weeks later I brought it to a dealer in MA and they had same exact color/year in an SLS. I should have gone and looked for an SLS from the get go, but my current dealer "almost "got me out of the first one clean.

I really wanted all the stuff the SLS has, but the GTS was nice also.

Thank you for the reply! I'm hoping our sub holds out. I'd hate to have to replace it outside of warranty.

What usually happens to the sub is that a piece of cosmetic trim comes loose and rattles around on top of the cone. It's got a grill over it, just remove the rear deck, and throw that dome thingy away, like a Frisbee.

I think RF figured out a better glue sometime in 2011.

Thank you! Ours is a 2011, so hopefully ours was fixed. Plus, I don't go above 30 on the volume, so I don't think I'll be rattling it loose anytime soon.

But when it does, I know exactly what to look for.

Yeah, my 2011 has no subwoofer issues and I listen to some insanely bass-heavy stuff as I like Industrial/Electronic music. My sub gets a good work-out regularly.
I also noticed that if you connect your device in different ways, the volume level for the same output differs. For example, I will stream a song via Bluetooth Audio and it will require about volume level 22 for the same output as the same song via USB connection at volume level 15 or so from the same device. I also notice that the audio quality is higher (especially the bass) with USB so I don't use Bluetooth Audio as much. However, Bluetooth Audio is great when you are using a smartphone to navigate and it's synced with the car. The navigation instructions will fade in and out between the music as both are coming from the phone to the car's system.

Our 2011 has the Kenwood, so I'm sure the sound isn't exactly the same since your sub can rattle stuff inside your car and ours can't.

I've noticed the input difference as well. You can adjust the input volumes in the Kenwood for different source so that you don't have to always mess with the volume.

30??? I've never had mine past 20, 15 is fairly loud. Ahh, good point about the Kenwood.
