Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

RT 58 through Hazens Notch; did it yesterday after my oil change :drive:

Apparently all pieces remained attached.

Note to self: 5/13/14 123,034 miles at oil change.

Those who've followed might recall me chatting about "bad roads"; take a look at that picture above to get an inkling of what my Kizashi's traversed.

Yep, like that.

Explains all the smashed underbody panels....

My car is modern, though..... 8-)

I just bring a camera.

I had a Treo 650 until last year. Still miss how easy it was to answer calls and call people back. (Why modern UI design for a phone requires 3 presses of a non-tactile touchscreen I'll never know.)

So, today 5/20/14, with 123,629 miles, my windshield cracked (rock impact, down low below the passenger wiper).

I'll be calling the dealer to see if I can get a factory (bulletproof?) replacement windshield.

Prior to the Kizashi, I'd break at least one a year, so I have zero complaints......

123,629 miles without a crack or chip is pretty good!
I avoid gravel trucks like the plague. Most of my past chips came from gravel trucks.

I live on a dirt road.
I travel (other) dirts roads on my way to work.
I travel (other) dirt roads on my way home from work.
I travel dirt roads for pleasure.

When I say "dirt" I really mean: "Dirt, or hard-packed dirt (I mean you can get tire squeal off hardpack), or loose dirt (think more like mud except dry) or clay-like surfaces, or gravel ("gravel" defines many many surfaces, from small marbly rocks to big chunks of sharp-edged rock and all kinds of in-between).

That above picture shows a 'dirt' road, and I can see its surface is loose fine dirt over a hard-packed undersurface.
Bet you can get huge slides on it

And with our broken 'paved' roads one has significantly more options for kicked-up debris smashing your glass. And road construction residue.
I mean, lots of options......

Considering the driving conditions, I think you've definitely done well.

I wonder if the Kizashi windshield was also just that good? Did you have other stones impact but not crack?
