My USB stick just all of a sudden stopped working...what gives? I've been using an 8 gig EMTEC flash drive for the past few months, no issue at all, then randomly I stop for milk at Dillons, then when I start up the car, its suddenly Unsupported. Now, it still wont work...anyone have this issue? How did you overcome this?

Could just be that the flashdrive took a dump. Or the TOC file got corrupted. Format the flash drive and reload it, if that doesn't work, try a different flashdrive before panicking that your car is broken.

Unplug and replug, or just wait until you restart the car. Happens semi-regularly with my iPod which is always plugged in to the USB. Not sure if the problem is with my iPod (Nano 5g) or the car's software.

Interestingly, my car said "USB Not Supported" or something similar today when I swapped in my iPod Nano for my iPod Touch. I just restarted the car after reconnecting the device and cable and everything worked.

If nothing works, I would try reformatting the USB drive as others suggested.

I thinking it's more the drive than the car. The only thing that can change is the drive since the firmware in the car is the same.

Try another flash drive just for testing and see what happens.
