Okay, we don't get that model in Australia. I've had RE050's on a Mazda 6 and they're awesome (but you feel every bump inside the vehicle.)
I also had RE11's on my Renault Sport, very soft but unbelievable grip!
What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?
That sucks that you don't get them. Do you get the re960 or pole position s-02s?murcod wrote:Okay, we don't get that model in Australia. I've had RE050's on a Mazda 6 and they're awesome (but you feel every bump inside the vehicle.)

The 050s look more like a sport touring tire so I was a bit surprised to hear you say that you felt every bump. But the stock Dunlops were in this same category and we all know how they are...

I forgot how great the re11s were. I had them on the 93 Altima and they were awesome grip. Later, Nissan changed to the Goodyear Eagle GAs for my 95 Altimas. These tires sucked. Once I found the re950s and put them on, handling was back.

Caught up on the forum today and thought about how I did the tpms relearn...
No to both those modelsSamirD wrote:That sucks that you don't get them. Do you get the re960 or pole position s-02s?

The RE050 is rated as an Ultra High Performance Tyre, it comes standard on top range Mazdas eg. 3 SP25 etc. Trust me, they're razor sharp in the steering response and grip very well.
Here's the entire Potenza range we get locally http://www.bridgestone.com.au/tyres/pot ... fault.aspx . Because we don't really get much snow in Australia all the tyres tend to be what you'd class as "Summer" tyres. It's rare to find anything else "off the shelf" for passenger cars. People just fit chains when they go to the snow field areas.

Most recently, I installed the Osram Offroad bulbs into the high beams. While I had the air box out, I also made a grounding wire from the CVT housing to the battery for shits and giggles.
Unfortunately my Kizashi is in temporary storage while I drive my GTI, but it should be back on the road soon. I still need to do an oil change and tire rotation.
How often are you guys replacing your air filter?

That's interesting how the 050 is a full out performance tire there. It's the same tire we get here, but its tread pattern isn't very aggressive. It's also a UHP category tire here.murcod wrote:No to both those modelsSamirD wrote:That sucks that you don't get them. Do you get the re960 or pole position s-02s?

. Often the selection of sizes we get here is limited as well. I imported the RE11's from TireRack as they weren't sold here - very little in the way of performance tyres were (in my desired size.)

After checking out your link, you *do* get the same tires we have, just under different names.

The RE760 certainly looks the same compared to the RE001; but the Aussie site says the RE001 is replaced by the RE002 "except in select sizes". I can't find any specs on the Aussie tyres to compare to TireRack. It seems bizarre to sell the exact same tyre in different countries with different model names (ie. you'd need different moulds for the sidewall lettering!?)SamirD wrote: After checking out your link, you *do* get the same tires we have, just under different names. The US re760 is your Adrenalin RE001. And I believe the US S02 is your Adrenalin RE002.
The RE002 doesn't seem to be anything like the S02 I found on TireRack?

Managed to squeeze in an oil change today. I also dissected the OEM oil filter and came across something very interesting... I agree that the re002 is a bit different than the re760, but I think it's as close to the US design as is available in your market. Maybe it's just better customized for your market?murcod wrote:The RE760 certainly looks the same compared to the RE001; but the Aussie site says the RE001 is replaced by the RE002 "except in select sizes". Seems like your s001 is our s04.

I saw the re11's on tirerack.

That was an awesome thread. Autopsic, if that's even a word.bootymac wrote:Managed to squeeze in an oil change today. I also dissected the OEM oil filter and came across something very interesting... See here: http://www.kizashiclub.com/forum/viewto ... 152#p29152

I managed to wipe down the interior and the steering wheel with the leather wipes we have. I then left it on the boot of the shifter and the material there felt a lot more pliable and soft.
