Hi,
New member and would really like to own this vehicle. But I cannot seem to find a Kizashi with a manual transmission ANYWHERE in the Pacific Northwest. I went to a dealer in Medford Or. and they looked around and couldn't find a single one. I even tried going to the Suzuki sites and putting various zip codes in to see if I could find one at a dealer anywhere within a 1000 miles. No luck.
So, does anyone know if this is just a temporary shortage or is this just the way it is? I do realize that stick shifts seem to be old school for family sedans (My 03 Honda CRV took me weeks to locate a 5 speed at the time, and now Honda doesn't even offer a manual tranny on the CRV), but a manual is what I really want, and will wait if it that is what it takes.
I drove one with the cvt transmission and it was ok, if I might add without offending anyone, a little strange from autos I have driven in the past. I REALLY liked the car though, and if there is no hope of a manual transmission I might have to reconsider the cvt.
Hope someone has some better news. You know it is frustrating knowing what you want and are ready to get it and it isn't happening..

I know it is far away, but if you give them a call they might get one sent up to your location. They currently have two manual GTS models, and are the biggest suzuki dealer in the country.
Supposedly they ship for free, but you might be too far away. A call couldn't hurt though.

WOW!! I couldn't believe the amount of Kizashi's that they have in stock. It was like going to a Ford dealer! I did call them and they didn't even blink about trucking the car to the left coast. All said and done the GTS would be in the ball park of 22K, for a 2010. Which, I guess, isn't too bad (especially given that there aren't any at all around here).
So I am thinking about this...and wondering if anyone has dealt with these folks? They sound good, but naturally they would...
Anyway thanks for your help... I really appreciate it...

I think other posters on this forum have dealt with them OK. One commented on a non-negotiable dealer prep fee. However, the bottom line price is the only important one.
You are right about the CVT. its "dead zone" from 0-15 is a strange and very annoying shortcoming of the car - probably the major one for many including myself. I needed the AWD, or I would have gone with the manual. Good luck with it if you finally get one.

You might try Korum Automotive Group in Puyallup, Washington. I purchased mine from them, an SLS AWD silver, and I think they have a black with 6 speed manual. I do not know what model. There telephone number is 253-286-5036. When you call tell them I referred you. I have made several TV commercials for them and they may give you a better price.

Thank you all for your help...I got all the info from the dealer in Kansas and have thought about this, and thought about this, and decided that it is one thing to buy something from Amazon sight unseen, but a 22K auto is something else (at least for me). I guess I will just haunt my 'local' Suzuki dealer until they get what I want in. That old saying about patience being a virtue is probably true, just need to find the patience (and the virtue).
Again thanks... I will continue to follow this group as, eventually, I will have this vehicle.

Well...to bring this thread back to life. I have a 6 speed silver one sitting on the dock waiting to be shipped to Medford Or. To get that going took some doing. After trying to find one of these in silver and the only one that showed up on the west coast was red, I decided to call the local dealer and asked them if I could talk to the district ops manager. They said he would contact me, which he did a day or so later. I told him how frustrated I was and that I might (horrors) have to go and buy a Honda SI with a six speed. He said he couldn't allow that and he would get back to me. When he called he said all the 2010's were distributed to dealers BUT there were 6 six speeds on the wharf either in Southern Ca. or Wa. Two of which were silver. He then told me that most people do not want the 6 speed so they don't import many, therefor the few that do come in are snapped up by those that want them. So the local dealer was contacted a deposit was made and it should arrive later this week. Have no idea what they will charge, so hope I don't get taken to the cleaners. I would suppose a few hundred under sticker would be appropriate, yes?

It's nice that they worked for you. My dealer had three or four 6 speeds when I went. That was about 4 months ago.

Yesterday the Silver 6spd GTS was delivered to me at the Suzuki dealer in Medford Or. Driving the 80 odd miles home it was hard to really keep an eye on the road with all the buttons and gadgets in that car. I did find some time though, going through the twisties on I5 to really appreciate the handling. The car might not be on 'rails' going around turns but it sure felt like.
Oh, and at a stop light some guy in a Bimmer was REALLY looking at the car... I guess he had some confusion issues....
One quick question. Is there some sort of body side molding (I know it wouldn't look great, but parking dings are really ugly) for the Kizashi?
So no longer 'frustrated', it just took a lot of patience to get what I really wanted.
