I genuinely don't like black wheels, but I have to say those ones look good. In the UK we have to inform out insurance company of a change of wheels, do you have to do the same ?

No it is not a requirement, but if you add something real expensive then it is a good idea.

I once knew someone who stuck a plastic GT badge on the back of his VW Golf. He had an accident and the insurance company refused to pay up based on the fact he had customised the car without telling them. I really hate insurance companies !!

Plasti Dip is a spray-on removable paint. It's neat because it allows one to spray paint something on a temporary basis. When it's not desired anymore, it peels off like a vinyl covering.

If I was to plasti dip, I'd go gunmetal on my wheels (assuming that color is even offered). I'm a big fan of gunmetal. However, to make that look match, I'd have to do the chrome trim and badges as well. I can't be bothered to do that so I'd rather keep the wheels OEM silver in color.

Also, I thought Shylynn already plasti dipped her wheels purple.

Here's what plasti dip looks like:

I recently repainted all wheels to as close as possible to stock silver using duplicolor hyper silver wheel paint kits. I should have taken before and after pics but forgot until too late. I can take an after pics if anyone would like.

I'd like to see those after pics. I'm thinking about repainting mine too next summer. (I have plasti dipped winter wheels/tires I'll run over the winter) Did you have any curb rash on the stocks before the repaint? I have a little but it's pretty minimal.
