Received a response from Suzuki today on the paint issue, they will fix it. More details on the sticky created for this topic.
Good luck everyone else, and keep up the great work with documenting these defects.
Kudos to Suzuki!!

It is a great car indeed. The rep will be checking my paint this week. In all likelihood, if they deny the paint problem, I will take the car to a body shop to see what can be done. Maybe an additional layer of clear coat or something in that effect would help. I just have a hard time to trust a non-Suzuki affiliate with the car.
I have to say that the responsiveness of the their customer service in US is excellent. We just have to wait and see if the company would stand behind the paint issues in the early production cars (Oct-Dec 09)
I was thinking about 3M clear panels as well but realistically I can't put them all over the car.
Oh...and the first dent in the car was born today by a lovely home depot shopper who chose to park far away from the store and right next to my poor Kizashi, it's right next to driver's door handle , less than an inch in diameter, and probably less than a quarter of an inch in depth. I'm just glad that this spot didn't chip as well.
I borrowed my mother's car last year while my clunker was in the shop, and she was on vacation. Somebody dinged the door about the size of a dime, and about same depth as yours. When she saw it, she was so bothered by it, I knew I had to do something to fix the situation. I did a little research on something called "paintless dent removal". I found a guy locally who does it, nicknamed this side business of his the "Ding Doctor". Long story short, he uses these special tools (has lots of previous training to learn how to do it right), and from the inside he massages the dent/ding out with this tool. Pretty amazing, literally cannot even tell it happened, perfect now. It was $100, but well worth it. This process of dent removal only works if the paint hasn't been compromised as a result of the initial dent/ding. The only downside is that you have to watch him drill a 1/4 inch size hole in your door from the side of it, as this is how he accesses the dent from the inside. However, he plugged it up afterwards securely with a rubber plug, standard practice. You can watch technician videos like this on youtube, and it is pretty cool to watch.
Anyway, if you want that dent gone, I recommend ONLY this method. It will come out prefect, undetectable, and you will be a happy camper.

I have recently purchased a Kizashi SE Black Metallic Pearl, I haven't noticed any chipping yet, but I have noticed that some people stated that their cars that were made in Feb. 2010 haven't tnoiced anything... How do you find out when your car was made? I have looked thru the paperwork, but I haven't found anything yet...

I just purchased a Kizashi and when I was picking it up the salesman told that it had some tree sap on it and he was not able to get it off with what he was using. After I joined this forum and have been reading about the paint issue I strongly feel that it is a chipping problem not tree sap. I seem to have these chips all over the car noticed a lot of them on the top of the truck yesterday. I will be talking with the dealer on this and see where that gets me and go from there. I hope all works out for everyone in volved with this issue, It sucks having a new car and it chipping on it's own.

Well I spoke with the Dealership on my chipping problem and they are still standing behind the tree sap issue, When I showed hip the chip on the door jam he said it must have splattered there. They are going to take it to a prep shop for me as of right now, Waiting on the appointment as of right now. Does anyone think I should go to Suzuki on this or wait and see how I make out with the Dealer ?
P.S. The color is Black Pearl and manufacturing date was 10/09
Thanks
