I broke(lost?) the spring for the center armrest lower latch; it still latches but now only 'manually'.

Not bad for 134,605 miles......

Actually, this mileage range is when I normally get something new......I run 'em about 3--4 years, 120--140K, and bye-dee-bye!

Drove the stick WRX; waiting to drive the CVT WRX.....

c'mon man....go for the gusto on this one! It probably isn't worth anything so why not? Save your pennies for another year or two towards the WRX.

In dollars; it remains a marvelous drive.

What I'm waiting for: a WRX with no moonroof (or red dash lights, or its HVAC display RIGHT IN MY LINE OF SIGHT) and a lessened-delay not-a-clutch tranny.

Although........I've also been taking a hard look at the BMW 320 Xdrive (my dealership also sells MB, BMW, and Mini).

I saw a new shape WRX yesterday- it looked pretty good to me. (Certainly a lot better than some of Subaru's previous efforts.)

I'll have to see a live one I guess. On paper, they are ugly IMHO...

1) One cannot see what one drives whilst driving it

2) Looks do not affect driving pleasure.

So, one might ask themself: "What matters; how I look to others ("we never know just how we look through other people's eyes"), or how my vehicle drives?"
Ay?

We know Tim's answer

I'm going to have to disagree. I find the new batch of Subarus rather good-looking. I've thought the last generation were horrendous, but the current is much better.
I actually like the look of the current WRX and would like to own one even based on looks. While it's very toned down compared to the concept, I think this one is rather decent and don't understand why so many think it's ugly.

I also want to add that a WRX Hatchback was spotted as a test mule. Sounds like Subaru heard the uproar and maybe decided to offer the hatch Rex after all.

Anyhow, is this really ugly?
